DIAMOND TRUST BANK (DTB) CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Established over 66 years ago as a finance house, Diamond Trust Bank has today grown into leading, commercial bank offering wide spectrum of banking services. Through its affiliation in Uganda, Kenya and Burundi. DTB has regional presence which none of the peer banks can boast of and has been ranked amongst the top ten successful banks in Tanzania. With 15 operational branches DTB has now embarked on a major branch network expansion programme of adding branches in all major towns in Tanzania. We now look for able and qualified individuals to fill the following rules:-

1. BRANCH MANAGERS (Iringa, Morogoro, Mtwara, Tabora, Kahama)

QUALIFICATIONS:-
  • University graduate preferably in Banking/Business/Management.Professional qualification eg. Institute of Bankers Diploma would be desirable.
  • 5 years minimum experience in managerial position in a commercial bank
  • SOme experience at Bank branch management level would be desirable
  • Ability to balance opposing business requirements
  • Strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills
  • Able to provide advice and cause/ effect evaluation to support business decision making
  • Strong service ethic
2. ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGERS (Iringa, Morogoro, Mtwara, Tabora, Kahama, Mwanza, Dar es Salaam)

QUALIFICATIONS:-
  • University graduate preferably in Banking/Business/Management.Professional qualification eg. Institute of Bankers Diploma would be desirable.
  • 3 years minimum experience in a commercial bank
  • Ability to balance opposing business requirements
  • Strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills
  • Able to provide advice and cause/ effect evaluation to support business decision making
  • Strong service ethic
3. HEAD - INTERNAL AUDIT

QUALIFICATIONS:-
  • Post graduate qualification in Accounting or Finance eg. MBA Degree or any other relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA or CPA. Internal Audit certification would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of practical audit experience in a commercial banking environment or large organization at a senior level
  • A structured approach to dealing with complex and variable work environment an independent manner
  • Strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills
  • Able to provide advice and cause/ effect evaluation to support business decision making
  • Good at managing large volumes of information and can add value through management reporting.
4. DEPUTY HEAD OF RISK

QUALIFICATIONS:-
  • Post graduate qualification in Accounting or Finance eg. MBA Degree or any other relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA or CPA. Internal Audit certification would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years banking experience, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial position
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with good word processing skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A structured approach to dealing with complex and variable work environments in an independent manner
  • Good at managing large volumes of information and can add value through management reporting
  • Able to provide advice and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making
  • Independent and logical thinker, yet an achiever and implementer
5. MANAGER INTERNAL CONTROLS

QUALIFICATIONS:-
  • Post graduate qualification in Accounting or Finance eg. MBA Degree or any other relevant professional qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 experience years in banking position - involving management of operations in a commercial banking environment. Process oriented and attentiveness to detail
  • Analytical and problem -solving skills
  • Strong evaluation, communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to balance opposing business requirements
  • A structured approach to dealing with complex and variable work environments in an independent manner.
  • Able to provide and cause/effect evaluation to support business decision making
6. GRADUATE MANAGEMENT TRAINEES (6 POSTS)

QUALIFICATIONS:-
  • Honours Degree (First class or Upper Second) obtained in 2011/2012
  • Ability and competency to require multi-disciplinary skills through on the job training
  • Ability to analyze problems logically and quickly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adopt to new situation and circumstances
  • Confident and ambitious approach to the working environment
  • Geographical (workplace) flexibility
  • Some previous work experience (eg. internship) will be an advantage
