Job Title: Senior Information Technology Officer-System Administrator


Ref No WVT/P&C/F12/101
Reports to: ICT Manager
Location: Arusha

Purpose of the position:
To provide technical support in administration of all network/ system applications and hardware maintenance to ensure smooth running of ICT operations.

Major Responsibilities
  • Ensure usage of an efficient and effective ICT infrastructure within WVT in line with partnership guidelines.
  • Ensure implementation and maintenance of MIS in accordance to WVT guidelines
  • Monitoring of a customer focused support system and structure that delivers services, offers troubleshooting efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that performance management is practiced within the unit to enhance performance, smooth staff relations and accountability.
  • Provide supportive monitoring visits to zone/programs in order to ensure all systems and maintenance services offered by the Zonal ICTOs are within the standards.
  • Capacity building to staff, informing of any changes on systems and other ICT related issues Ensure regular data backups with related data logs sheets in line with WV policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure implementation of IT policies, procedures, standards and guidelines and advise on any changes of the same. 
Other Competencies/Attributes:
  • Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
  • Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualification required: BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Experience: 3yrs
  • Preferred: Cisco certified
  • Other: IT related business administration / project management experience is preferred.

Technical Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced Computer skills
  • Database/Network management.
  • Demonstrated ability in supervision
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Tact and diplomacy in dealing with staff-related to work environment needs
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and public


Job Title: Child Protection and Advocacy Manager


Ref No WVT/P&C/F12/102
Reports to: Ministry Quality Director
Location: Arusha

Purpose of the position:
To provide technical support in Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation within WVT programs
Observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others

Major Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy is integrated (mainstreamed) at all level of program cycle (Assessment, Design, Implementation, monitoring and evaluation) in WVT programs                       
  • Coordinate development and implementation of National office Child protection, Gender and Advocacy strategy and plan in alignment with the National, Regional and Global child protection, gender and advocacy strategies, priorities and policies  
  • Coordinate Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy capacity building to staff Board Members and community representatives            
  • Ensure quality investigation of Level 1, 2 and 3 child protection incident allegations, under the direction and support of World Vision International (WVI) Child Protection.  
  • Ensure that internal (operations), Global Centre (GC) Child Protection gender and advocacy audit recommendations are timely responded to and fully implemented                 
  • Review Child Protection, Gender and advocacy reports, ensure documentation and dissemination of promising practices
  • Participate in Child Protection, Gender and advocacy networks, coalitions and policy influencing forums           
  • Ensure that performance management is practiced within the department to enhance performance, smooth staff relations and accountability 
  • Reporting - Complete a Child protection Policy Compliance/ update report every six months and ensure confidentiality, timely, objective, accurate and reliable information reporting from WVT on Child protection incidents reports.
  • Provide technical support in the development of concept papers, proposal writing, and engage in negotiation with potential donors 
Minimum Qualification required
Bachelor Degree in Law, Community Development or Social Sciences
Experience:  3 years in Child Protection, Gender and Advocacy
Technical Skills & Abilities:
  • Computer skills especially in Statistical Packages.
  • Demonstrated ability in monitoring and supervision
  • Computer skills.
  • Gender/ policy Analysis skills
  • Gender Self Assessment skills
  • Advocacy lobbying, dialogue and networking skills
  • Skills in research, report writing, project designs, monitoring and evaluation
Other Competencies/Attributes:
