AFRICAN BARRICK GOLD (ABG)

African Barrick Gold (ABG) is a leading gold mining company, listed in the London Stock Exchange. It is largest gold mining company in Tanzania with a portfolio of four operating gold mines, Bulyanhulu, North Mara, Tulawaka and the Buzwagi and several exploration and development projects, located across Tanzania.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST (1 POST)
Reporting Line : Senior Medical Doctor
Location : Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region
Work schedule : 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off

Qualifications:

• Registration as a Registered Occupation therapist/ Physiotherapist
  
• Minimum 3 years work experience as Occupational therapist
• Post graduate qualification in Occupation Healthy and safety/ extensive occupation therapy experience in an occupational therapy role
• Exposure to mining or industrial environment involving a wide range of workplace tasks
• Acquired formal training in Rehabilitation, workers compensation, claims Management and counseling is an added advantage
• Ability to work autonomously and a team player

PHARMACEUTICAL TECHNICIAN (1 POST)

Reporting Line : Clinic Adminstrative Officer
Location : Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region
Work schedule : 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off

Qualifications:

• Certificate in pharmacy from recognized/ registered training institution
• 2 years experiences in similar function in multinational environment
• Effective communication skills
• Excellence customer care skills
• Understanding of law on medicine
• Maintain the confidentiality of clinic clients

PROCESS PLANT OPERATOR (2 POSTS)

Qualifications:

• Holder of Form VI Secondary Education or FTC trade test grade one in mechanical or electrical disciplines; or Diploma in Mechanical/ mineral process
• Good written and verbal English language skills
• Previous experience in industrialized plant is beneficial
• Result oriented

RECEPTIONIST (1 POST)

Reporting Line : Clinic Adminstrator
Location : Bulyanhulu Gold Mine; Kahama District; Shinyanga Region
Work schedule : 6 weeks on, 3 weeks off

Qualifications:

• A certificate in Medical records keeping from a reputable Medical Record Training Institution
• A minimum of three years hospital experience
• A wide range of experience as a receptionist and advanced filling system experience is a bonus
• Excellent English and Swahili communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to to all levels of personnel
• Competent in use of Microsoft word, excel and power point software
• Accurate in record keeping with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
