Global Skill Consulting & Education on behalf of our client located in Arusha is seeking a motivated, consumer facing customer service representative. This person will serve M-POWER customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems. This includes, but is not limited managing the customer service call center and implementing the M-POWER manual mobile money payment mechanism.

This position offers an incredible opportunity to work with an international team of business professionals. Candidates must have a passion for sales, service and customer support. This position will be located in Arusha.

East African citizens will be prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

• Attracts potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services.
• Maintains customer records by updating account information.
• Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
• Maintains financial accounts by processing customer adjustments and implementing the M-POWER manual payment process.
• Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
• Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• Three (3) years minimum work experience, ideally in customer service
• A focus on quality and detail
• Documentation skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Google Apps
• Phone skills
• Experience in conflict resolution in a previous consumer facing position
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills (English)
• Fluency in Swahili
• Ability and drive to work independently, think critically and multi-task

Highly Desired Skills

• Education and/or work experience in both East Africa and abroad
• An understanding of rural BOP markets in East Africa
• An understanding of renewable energy access programs
