USAID TANZANIA

Pamoja Tuwalee is a project supported by the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief funding (PEPFAR II) through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), seeks to contribute to the Tanzanian Goverment's National Action Plan for Most vulnerable Children by building the capacity of local initiatives to cafe for vulnerable children in difficult circumstances. The project is implemented in Tanzania (Tanga, Kilimanjaro, Manyara and Arusha Region) by World Education, Inc. in Collaboration with the Tanzanian Government's Department of Social Welfare.

World Education, Inc. now invites applications from suitably, qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions:-

1. Job Title : Economic Strengthening Coordinator (1 POST)
Reports to : Senior Technical Advisor

QUALIFICATIONS:-

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development or related discipline is required
• At least 5 years experience in working with NGO and donor agency delivering agriculture, livelihood or small business programs in rural areas.
• The incumbent should possess a broad range of experience in working with government agencies, strengthening farmers organizations (groups, associations, cooperatives) and designing, implementing, managing integrated livelihood system (Agriculture, Microenterprise development, access to finance) and market linkages with emphasis on value chain.
• Must have strong business understanding and integrating business principles into planning and performance process

2. Job Title : Economic Strengthening- Field Technical Officer (1 POST)
Reports to : Economic Strengthening Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:-

• Degree in Economics, business Administration or other related field
• At least two years relevant experience in internal savings and lending groups, preferably the WORTH model
• Innovative, community and field based working experience on economic strengthening interventions is an added advantage
• Computer literacy and report writing skills
• Training and facilitation skills
• Ability to travel to field and work independently under minimal supervision

3. Job Title : Finance Officer (1POST)
Reports to : Finance and Admin Director

QUALIFICATIONS:-

• University Degree in Accounting, finance or equivalent related field
• At least two years previous job experience
• At least two years job experience relevant to the function
• Fluency in english and knowledge of local languages desired
• Knowledge of USG rules and regulations, QB accounting software is required
