CHRISTIAN SOCIAL SERVICES COMMISSION (CSSC) EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Christian Social Services Commission (CSSC) is an ecumenical body established in 1992 by Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC) and Christian Council of Tanzania (CCT) to facilitate the provision of social services in Tanzania. CSSC supports church institutions to deliver quality social services to all the people regardless of colour, race and faith; and also promotes expansion of health, education and other social services all over Tanzania.

CSSC has won an award with funding from the United States President's Emergency Plan for AIDS relief (PEPFAR) through Centers for Diseases Control (CDC) to support provision of HIV Care and Treatment and Prevention of Mother to child Transmission services in Mara (Rorya) and Mwanza (Sengerema) regions. Following that, CSSC has become one among USG partners for support HIV Care and Treatment services in the following regions. In addition CSSC is also a strategic in the implementation of the AIDS Relief program in Tanzania.

Applications are sought from highly qualified, well experienced and motivated persons for the following positions to join Christian SOcial Services Commission under the ART Program. The work station for all the positions will be based in MWANZA region, except for the KIM specialist position that will be based in Dar es Salaam.

1. CLINICAL ADVISOR (2 POSTS)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Doctor of Medicine Degree with vast experience in implementing care and Treatment activities according to the National guideline. Post-graduate degree in HIV/AIDS management
will be added advantage.
- At least 3 years experience working within care and treatment programs
- Experience on USG-funded health and/ or other development programs preferred
- Prior experience in logistics coordination and information management
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Excellent writing skills, experience drafting reports necessary
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Computer literate (particularly in excel, Ms Word and e-mail)
- Strong problem, solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts
- Desire to work effectively in a team oriented environment
- Flexible, self-starter, patient, dedicated and creative

2. PEDIATRIC SPECIALIST (1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) with vast experience in implementing pediatric HIV care activities according to the National guideline. Post-graduate degree in pediatric and child health
will be added advantage.
- At least 3 years experience working within HIV/AIDS programs in the field of pediatric HIV care
- Experience on USG-funded health and/ or other development programs preferred
- Prior experience in logistics coordination and information management
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Computer literate (particularly in excel, Ms Word and e-mail)

3. KIM Specialist (1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor Degree in health science (medicine, nursing, pharmacy) Statistics or related field. Desirable Post-graduate degree in Public health, M & E or health informatics preferred
- At least 3 years experience working wtih HIV/AIDS programs (ART, HBC, OVC) or community-based project
- Experience on USG-funded health and/ or other development programs preferred
- Prior experience in logistics coordination and information management
- Conversant with statistical analysis package i.e STATA, SPSS
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Computer literate (particularly in excel, Ms Word and e-mail)
- Strong problem, solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts

4. MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER (1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS

- A Bachelors Degree (health sciences/ Bsc) or any field related to social sciences. A post graduate in Public health or monitoring and evaluation field will be an added advantage
- A minimum of 3 years technical experience in the field of HIV/AIDS and/or health M & E
- A minimum of 3 years experience in program management (preferably in HIV/AIDS program management)
- Demonstrate experience with management of different sources of data and multiple indicators with capacity to interpret numerical data
- Experience of data processing and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data sets and reporting using statistical databases
- Must have excellent communication/ interactive skills and must function well independently, as well as part of the team.
- Ability to make good decisions and has good judgment

5. IT OFFICER ( 1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS

- A Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science of IT
- A minimum of 3 years technical experience in the field of IT
- Must have excellent communication/ interactive skills and must function well independently, as well as part of the team
- Ability to make good decisions and has good judgment

6. CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST (1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor Degree in health sciences (medicine, nursing, pharmacy) with vast experience in implementing CQI activities according to the National
HIV QI framework. Post-graduate degree in public health, M & E or health informatics will be added advantage
- At least 3 years experience working with HIV/AIDS programs (ART, HBC, OVC) or community-based project
- Experience on USG-funded health and/ or other development programs preferred
- Prior experience in logistics coordination and information management
- Conversant with statistical analysis package i.e STATA, SPSS
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Computer literate (particularly in excel, Ms Word and e-mail)
- Strong problem, solving skills and ability to resolve conflicts
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and written/ verbal communication skills, including in cross-cultural settings

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

7. FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Degree in B.com (Accounting or Finance), or BBA from recognized university college
- Advanced degree in related field will be an added advantage
- She/he should be a CPA holder
- At least a minimum of 5 years working experience in finance and administration position is desirable

- Ability to translate financial rules and regulations

8. PROJECT ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER (1 POST)

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (BBA) -Procurement and logistics Management preferably with certified Supplies Professional (CSP)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in procurement and supplies management preferable with an established NGO/FBO;
having experience of working with donor funded projects is an added advantage
- Working experience/ knowledge in procurement & supply of medicines and other medical supplies it is important and added advantage to the position
