WESTERN INDIAN OCEAN MARINE SCIENCE ASSOCIATION (WIOMSA)

The Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) seeks application from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Coordinator, Research Programmes. Based in Zanzibar, this position provides an opportunity to provide scientific leadership and technical support to all WIOMSA scientific search activities.

COORDINATOR, RESEARCH PROGRAMMES

Qualifications:-

• Marine Sciences PhD Degree
• Be fluent in English and have excellent (verbal and written) communication skills.
• Knowledge of more than one language spoken in the WIO Region will be an advantage
• Proven experience in management and science communication is required and the ability to function in a multidisciplinary research environment is essential.
  
• Good knowledge in research environment in the WIO region is an important asset.
