United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Tanzania invites applications from qualified Tanzanians for the position of Programme Finance Associate. The incumbent will primarly be responsible for providing Accounting Support to the Ministry of Finance for Financial Management across UNDP Supported Projects. She/he will be based in Dar es Salaam, reporting directly to the UN Desk Officer at Ministry of Finance (MOF) and working closely with UNDP.

PROGRAMME FINANCE ASSOCIATE

QUALIFICATIONS
- Secondary Education with specialized certification in Accounting and Finance. University Degree in Finance, Business or Public Administration desirable. Part-qualified accountants from an internationally recognized institute of accountancy will have a distinct advantage.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of prograssively responsible financial management or accounting experience is required, with knowledge of programme or project finance desirable. Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (Ms Word, Excel etc) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, experience in handling of web based management systems
- Knowledge of Atlas, IPSAS and/or IFRS desired
- Fluency in English and Swahili is essential
