1. ADMISSIONS OFFICER - 1 POST
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS AND DOCUMENTATION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To process admission through Central Admission System (CAS) and Verify lists of selected applicants into higher education institutions according to set criteria;
- To address queries and guide applicants with formalities related to admission into higher learning institutions;
- To collect and compile data from higher education institutions for preparation of the admissions guidebook;
- To carry out admission audits from time to time.
- To perform any other duties as will be assigned by the Director of Admissions and Documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in (IT) in particular, computer programming from a recognized university level institution. A Master degree will be an added advantage;
- Must have good command in computer applications;
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili;
- Knowledge in Computer hardware and maintenance
- Must have basic management skills and skills in admissions audit;
- Work experience in a higher learning institution will be an added advantage;
- Must have skills in managing admissions, program requirements, audits and their related education training process.

2. QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER - 1 POST
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS & DOCUMENTATION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To collect, process, keep academic records, organize admission audits programme accreditation and general Quality Assurance matters in higher education institutions;
- To prepare and disseminate TCU guidelines and procedures for establishment, registration and accreditation of higher education institutions;
- To participate in matters needing liaison arrangements with other regulatory bodies for higher education;
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned from day to day by the Director of Admissions and Documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Masters Degree in education (Curriculum Studies or Education Assessment);
- Good command of computer applications;
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili;
- Ability to work with minimum supervision;
- Work experience in a higher education institution will be an added advantage.
- Must have basic management skills and skills in Admissions audits.
- At least three years working experience in similar or related position

3. PRINCIPAL COMPUTER PROGRAMMER - 1 POST
REPORTS TO: DEPUTY EXECUTIVE SECRETARY
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expected to conduct system analysis and development, with limited support from professional staff, to keep TCU systems current with changing technologies;
- Capable of software programme development and analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems and designing solutions to problematic programming. Website design and networking;
- Installing, configure and testing new versions of the Data Base Management System (DBMS) in both Windows and Linux platforms;
- Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security in various Databases within TCU;
- Performing any other function as directed by the Deputy Executive Secretary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Must have at least a Masters degree in computer programming and systems design and development from a recognized university level institution;
- Advanced understanding and experience with object oriented programming languages such as php, C#, and NET framework experience;
- Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and staff;
- Strong competence in Structural Query Language is a must;
- Professional certifications in Software Development, Web development or database Administration shall be an added advantage;
- Not less than 3 years of experience at Software/database developer in MySQL, Oracle or Ms SQL Server.
- At least 3 years of experience in Business Intelligent Technologies.

4. DRIVER- 3 POSTS
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- To drive and maintain TCU motor vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition;
- To drive officers who accredit institutions;
- To perform minor maintenance when necessary;
- To provide transport to officers of the Commission and visitors;
- To deliver and/or pick up mail or any other materials for office use;
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Class “C” driving license with good knowledge of motor vehicle mechanics;
- Minimum three years working experience;
- Those who have attended NIT courses on Public Service Vehicles Driving Programme (Certificate of Professional Competence) shall have an added advantage;
- Good communication skills, respect for confidentiality and good public relations;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to organize and work under pressure
- Age limit: Not more than 45 years old
- At least three years working experience in a similar or related position
