Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is an Agency of the Government of Japan responsible for implementing Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA). It opened its office in Tanzania in 1980. To adequately fulfill its mission and in line with the expansion of its activities in the country, the Agency is now seeking applications from suitably qualified, self-motivated Tanzanians of high personal integrity to fill the following positions.
1.PROGRAM OFFICER
Qualifications:-
- A Bachelor Degree
- Working experience of not less than 10 years in a similar field. Experience of working with a donor agency will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English and Swahili. Knowledge of Japanese language will be an added advantage
- Should be computer literate (Knowledge of Microsoft Word, excel, etc, essential)
- Should be between 35-45 years of age
2. ASSISTANT PROGRAM OFFICER (Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers Program -JOCV):
- A Bachelor Degree
- Working experience of at least 3 years in a similar position
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English and Swahili
- Should have strong negotiation skills
- Should be computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel, etc. essential)
- Should be between 35-45 years of age
- A detailed curriculum vitae with certified copies of certificates of qualifications
- A one-page (A4 size paper) explanation on:- (a) Why you want to join JICA (b) How you think you can contribute your experience to the enhancement of the job you are applying for
- Names and contacts of two referees
