ICAP GLOBAL. HEALTH. ACTION CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Columbia University's ICAP Global. Health. Action in Tanzania, works in partnership with the Ministries of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) in the mainland and Zanzibar. ICAP Tanzania provides quality comprehensive family focused HIV prevention, Care and Treatment services at 127 health facilities. The facilities involved include regional and district hospitals, health centers and dispensaries in Kagera, Kigoma, Pwani and Zanzibar. This program is part of s broader US Government HIV/AIDS initiative in Tanzania and receives funding from Centers for Disease Control Tanzania (CDC), PEPFAR and the support of the American levels, and indigenous CBO/NGOs to manage HIV programs including financial, administrative, program management and technical advisory skills. The program has employed competent dynamic individuals with programmatic understanding, clinical background as well as public health management knowledge in implementing the program objectives. The program is currently seeking to recruit professional and competent Tanzanian candidates to fill the following vacant positions in Kagera Regional Office.

POSITION TITLE : REGIONAL LABORATORY FOCAL PERSON
REPORTS TO : SENIOR CLINICAL ADVISOR
LOCATION : ICAP REGIONAL OFFICES IN KAGERA WITH FIELD TRAVEL UP TO 70% OF THE TIME

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Laboratory technology or Advanced Diploma with background in medical laboratory from recognized institute
- Two (2) or more years experience in working with laboratory activities at Regional Laboratory, District Laboratory, Health centre Laboratory and Dispensary Laboratory
- Computer skills, with experience in using Microsoft Word, Access and Excel
- Ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills
- Fluent in English and Swahili with good verbal and written communication skills

POSITION TITLE : CERVICAL CANCER FIELD OFFICER
REPORTS TO : SENIOR CLINICAL ADVISOR
LOCATION : KAGERA REGIONAL OFFICE WITH FIELD TRAVEL UP TO 70% OF THE TIME

QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced Diploma in Clinical Medicine, or Nursing or Degree in related medical field from recognized institution
- Two (2) years or more experience in cervical cancer screening
- Experience in community sensitization and mobilization
- Experience in data management, monitoring and supervision
- Ability to work independently with strong problem solving skills
- Good understanding of public health functions and operations in government and/ or NGO services
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili
