TANESCO SACCOS is a society that aims at eradicating poverty amongst its members. The prime objective of the society is to deliver quality services and products. Towards this end, TANESCO SACCOS would like to engage competent employees to fill the following vacant posts.

1. SENIOR ACCOUNTANT- one Post

KEY DUTIES:

  • Formulating the Society’s strategies, plans and budget and monitoring the performance so as to ensure that the Society as well as its mission and goals are achieved.
  • Preparation of financial statements (periodical) as per accounting instruction and maintain financial and statistical records and extraction of schedules from general ledger.
  • Ensure Monthly Bank reconciliation, deduction of member’s loans and contribution are done.
  • Advise the Manager in all matters related to Accounting and Financial Control activities in the Society.


Minimum Requirements:


  • A bachelor degree in Accountancy or its equivalent
  • Professional Accounting qualification (CPA)
  • Three years working experience
  • Good communication skills (Fluent in English and Kiswahili both oral and written) and a keen attention to details.
  • Computer literacy – Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Access & Internet

2. ACCOUNTANTS – 2 Posts

KEY DUTIES

  • Maintaining schedule of deductions,Returns of loans and interests
  • To prepare Bank Reconciliation and follow up the balance of Bank Accounts
  • To prepare the Statistical data and submit to the District Cooperative Officer
  • To control the Petty Cash
  • To prepare credit transfers to Members Accounts for loans

Minimum Requirements:

  • First Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from recognized Institution of higher education
  • At least two years working experiences as an Accountant.
  • Good communication skills (Fluent in English and Kiswahili both oral and Written) and a keen attention to details.
  • Computer literacy – Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Access & Internet


3. SYSTEM ADMINSTRATOR- one post

KEY DUTIES:

  • Execute start-up and shutdown procedures on daily basis and runs system check up tools available in the system and audit reports to ensure that systems are running smoothly and that all system operations are being performed smoothly.
  • Implements database, application and operating system service packs and patches to ensure that they are updated regularly for good performance.
  • Performs daily, regular and scheduled backups of the system database to ensure that the database is safeguarded against loss and that they are made in accordance with the established procedures.
  • Supports users in technical operational requests and other software and hardware problems to ensure that problems are rectified for smooth operation of the system.
  • Any other official duties as may be assigned by Manager/ Senior accountant


Minimum Requirements

  • A good Degree in computer or Information technology or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years experience in database server software management and networking
  • Programming and scripting language

4. RECORDS OFFICER- one POST

KEY DUTIES:

  • Assisting records storage facilities by ensuring proper filing of reports, agendas and minutes
  • Into relevant files, maintaining open and closed files, distributing and maintaining records and documents.
  • Assisting in Office organization and filing of records, agendas, minutes.
  • Maintaining an inventory of supplies and forms, office furniture and all office Assets.
  • Ensuring general implementation and administration of records management.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Records Management System from recognized Institution.
  • At least one year experience.
  • Computer literacy – Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Access & Internet

REMUNERATION
An attractive compensation package. Terms of employment are performance based contract
