Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation -Tanzania (Baylor-Tanzania) is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) dedicated to supporting the provision of high-quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS care and treatment to HIV -exposed and infected children and adolescents in the Lake and Southern Highlands Zones of Tanzania through service delivery, training and research. Baylor-Tanzania is part of the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPA) Clinical Centres of Excellence Network which is headquartered at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA. Through collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Government of Tanzania Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW(, Baylor -Tanzania is looking for highly motivated, well-qualified individual to join its growing program team.
SITE DIRECTOR
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a University Degree from a recognized institution in a relevant discipline with five years experience in a reputable, large organization in a similar position
- A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and negotiation skills
- A willingness to travel and work irregular hours under pressure
- Must be a self starter, quick thinker, innovative and able to work independently and a have a through knowledge of Health Sector in Tanzania
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and interpersonal skills, mature in judgment, able to motivate a wide range of people and sensitive to issues of cultural diversity
- Ability to manage multiple programs with flexibility, to forecast trends in service delivery needs, and to adapt to rapid growth and change
- Experience in managing organizational operating budgets
- Computer literace
PHARMACIST (1 POST -MBEYA)
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Sc. in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and a minimum of 3 years working experience -experience with pediatric prescribing and pharmacy management a plus
- B.Sc. in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and a minimum of 3 years working experience -experience with pediatric prescribing and pharmacy management a plus
- Experience in ARV treatment prescribing and patient management
- Registered with the Pharmacy Council
- Excellent management and verbal communication skills in both English and Swahili
DATA MANAGER
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree in Statistics, with post graduate Degree/ Diploma or relevant experience in Public health, M & E and /or HIV AIDS
- Strong data analysis and research skills, including both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Technical training and certification in programming and data management
- Minimum of 5 years experience in database management
- Knowledge of EPInfo, Ms Excel, Ms Access, SAS, STATA and SPSS
- Experience with database modelling, performance monitoring tools and forms development is a plus
- Ability to work in a team environment with individuals with a varying range of knowledge and experience in data-related issues
- Flexibility regarding meeting tight deadlines, with occasional evenings and weekend work required
- Experience working in pediatric and/ or HIV/AIDS -related programs/ projects a plus
DATA CLERK
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least high school graduate with a Diploma in Computer training
- At least high school graduate with a Diploma in Computer training
- Two years work experience in a closely related position
- Knowledge of records management procedures
- Ability to operate various work- processing software, spreadsheet and database programs
- Maintain confidentiality
- Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds
- Communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing
- Carry out multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Follow instructions furnished in verbal or written format
- Attention to detail
